A's Got Rocked

The Rockies broke out their big bats and big hitters to win against the A's 13-1.

What began as a close game 2-0 the Rockies scored 2 in the 1st inning. Starting pitcher Isaiah Terrazas held the Rockies scoreless in the 2nd inning. Then the Rockies came back to score 2 more in the 3rd. The Rockies were scoreless again in the 4th but dominated in the 5th with 7 more runs despite a pitching change from Terrazas to Uriel Garcia.

The A's lead-off hitter lined a hard shot on the ground past the short stop to left field for a double but took 3rd on the left fielder's error. With Rivera on 3rd, Terrazas lined a shot between the Rockies 3rd baseman and short stop for an RBI single. Alas! The A's broke the shut-out. This would be the A's only run the entire game. A single by Uriel Garcia move Terrazas to 3rd in scoring position but the inning and the game ended leaving runners stranded on 1st and 3rd with a final called high strike on the A's Gabriel Garcia. The final score Rockies 13 Athletics 1.
