A's Got Yanked

Yankees Unearned Runs Gave Them the Edge

By Annie Rivera

It was almost like being in the Bronx...it got ugly!

A combined 92 pitches by the A's bullpen, two unearned runs and a slew of errors produced a win for the Yankees.

Tensions brewed in the stands, in the dug-outs, on the field and off the field.

This was not the game to write home to Mom about.

Scoreless up to the third inning, lead off hitters on both teams scored the first runs. Ironically, both batters scored on errors. In fact, the entire game runners scored on errors.

Despite efforts by the duo-pitching-catching team of Christopher Rivera and Isaiah Terrazas, it was not enough for a win.

Stats:

Rivera - 1 for 2; 2B, 2 runs, 1 IW, 1 SB

Terrazas - 0 for 2; HBP

U. Garcia - 0 for 3

Burrows - 0 for 1; BB

Osborne - 0 for 3

G. Garcia - 0 for 1

Jar. Hanko - 0 for 2

Bansil - o for 2

Jus. Hanko - 0 for 1

Gibson - 0 for 1

Moreno - o for 2

Arreola - 0 for 1

It's back to the drawing board boys!
